Getting your Medical Cannabis card here in Massachusetts is pretty simple and I mean simple.
This process is managed by the Cannabis Control Commission.
Depending on your medical issues such as insomnia, depression, anxiety also conditions such as MS, Crohn’s disease, Parkinson’s, glaucoma, Fibromyalgia ECT.
There certain things you will need when applying for your card. You will need an acceptable valid form of ID i.e. U.S. Passport, MA Driving License, State issued ID card, U.S. Military card ID also a proof of Massachusetts residency. For example, a utility bill, car insurance policy, or bill. There are many other options. Along with that you will also need a photo of yourself taken in front of a white/off white wall and it has to be recent not one from like 3 years ago lol.
The cost also depends on where you are across Massachusetts or what medical doctor you see.
The first step is to obtain a certification by a qualified health care provider in order to register.
Once you have Registered and Booked your Appointment. ( take 20-30mins)
Generally, the Doctors are nice.
Once you complete your appointment, they will send you a temporary card until your proper one through the mail.
If you lose your card, you can get a replacement but, there’s a $10 fee to replace the program card.
Please note that registration renewal is required every year. Expiration date is seperate from the registration date.
