Jerry DeFoe is the publisher of Stoner Magazine. With decades in technology and a lifelong orbit around media, he has worked as a sound engineer multiple radio stations and recording studios, while also handling photography and videography. His path has taken him from pioneering early digital magazine work in the late 1990s to building the cannabis-focused publishing and marketing platform that is Stoner Magazine today.

Deeply rooted in counterculture history and the Grateful Dead scene (including years as a taper (recording), DeFoe brings a practical, hands-on perspective to cannabis culture and storytelling. Though he has written only a couple of features in more than a decade with the magazine including the personal and historical piece on the Merry Pranksters and the Further bus, he focuses on elevating voices, connecting the industry, and keeping the high-stakes, high-octane spirit of the plant and its people alive.

Based in Oregon, he continues to blend technical media expertise with a genuine love for the culture, community, and the long strange trip.
