Southern Oregon Cannabis Mixer

Grants Pass, OR

Southern Oregon is becoming the Napa Valley for cannabis, especially Applegate, OR and surrounding areas. The micro climates provide some of the best possible conditions for growing cannabis so naturally, having some sort of communication between the community is crucial. Aaron Ghetti orchestrates the monthly meeting, which is held on the first Monday of the month at Rivers Edge in Grants Pass, OR. It was held  in a large room filled with a slew of circular tables overlooking the Rogue River. The host talks about community issues and goes over new laws regarding cannabis. It’s a great networking opportunity and the spot has fantastic food!

Cannabowl

Portland, OR

Fore-Twenty Sports presents Cannabowl! A full day bowling tourney, dispensary vs. dispensary. Bud tenders, dispensary owners, distributors, and cannabis tech brands came together. It was pint after pint followed by strike after strike. Deanz Greens, Rip City Remedies, Cannabliss, Archive, Foster Buds & Glisan Buds, Kind Heart Collective, Bridge City Collective, Baker, Marine Time Cafe, and Truly Pure went head to head in a long day of heavy handed sports. In the end Rip City Remedies won the grand prize of $1,000. Can’t wait til’ next year! Until then, they have a few other Fore-Twenty Sports events we can look forward to later this year. Make sure to check out their calendar so you can be sure to join the games!

One Love Reggae Festival

Queen Mary, Long Beach, CA

Tens-of-thousands of people creating a sea of smoke, red cups, and woos crowd the amphitheater as some of today’s best reggae artists bless the stage. Headlined by Slightly Stoopid, Rebelution, and Dirty Heads, additional acts included 311, SOJA, Iration, Chronixx, War, J Boog, Steel Pulse, The Green, Fortunate Youth, Don Carlos, Seedless, Tha Dogg Pound, and many more. The arena was a big mud pit after some heavy rains hit the LA area earlier that week but that didn’t deter the crowd. Last year’s event was completely sold out, and by the looks of it, 2017 was yet another sold out weekend.

CCC

Portland, OR

The CCC was held at the Portland Expo Center this year. Walking into the event, we were greeted by an amazing sculpture, the CCC logo made completely of ice. The booths and halls were filled with people from all aspects of the industry. The event was extremely organized and created a perfect environment for our industry. Having an opportunity to put a face to the names of so many folks we’ve partnered with was extremely exciting and rewarding. Not only were we able to connect with current partners, we made tons of new friends! We would definitely recommend getting a booth for next years’ event!

Cannacon

Seattle, WA

This years’ Cannacon was filled to the brim with extraction machines and lighting companies. There were only a couple actual producers there and a few cool technology companies. The event was right on the water overlooking the monstrous city of Seattle. The drive from Portland was wretched with heavy rains, but Seattle eventually blessed us with a sunny day. The industry continues to surprise us by throwing these events that bring out so many awesome new companies, with fresh perspectives and innovative products.

TJ’s on the Alley Grand Opening

Eugene, OR

The new location is directly across the street from the Macdonald Theater, the grand opening included performances by DJ Food Stamps and The Sunday Bump. A plethora of brands came out for the event including Stoner Mag, Weed Maps, Baker, Southern Oregon Alternative Medicine, Tony Green Hand, and She Smokes Joints. The new dispensary is beautiful and lined with some of the best cannabis products in the state. The TJ’s crew made us feel at home throughout the day, providing some amazing catering. Many Stoner Mag readers had an opportunity to pick up the February issue of the magazine! If you’re from the city or just travelling through Eugene, OR, swing by and check out what this new location has to offer.
